Great letter by the sheriff

Having been a cop for 32 years working all types of areas and assignments, I couldn't agree more with what the sheriff wrote. Too bad the fool he wrote it to won't understand. He and his boss are more interested in headlines and restricting law-abiding citizens' rights than really trying to solve the problem.

The debate will go on and on, and so will illegal gun trades. How do loin-cloth clothed idiots in Africa get AK-47s or droopy pants, flat-brimmed hat self-proclaimed gangsters get their guns? After you secure those guns, then come talk to me.
