I decided to do what everybody seems to have done before me, actually look up the Second Amendment and read it. To my surprise it's only 27 words long "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
To me it's clear that the amendment guarantees a collective rather than an individual right to bear arms.
