As always, guns guarantee liberty

I have come to the conclusion this gun control debate is not about safety but about retaliation. Remember they have a dozen Secret Service carrying fully automatic weapons with large capacity magazines for their safety. After the election they have been waiting for the opportune time to pay back their anti-gun supporters and pay back those who campaigned against them. Any fool knows criminals do not follow these laws, but these laws take away liberties from law abiding citizens.

"Those who trade liberty for security have neither." — John Adams

The Founding Fathers were adamant about the Second Amendment. It was about protecting freedoms, not about hunting or target shooting or collecting; not about semi-automatics, large magazines, registering, etc. It was about protecting our liberties. There is no compromising on the Second Amendment. Give an inch, lose a mile!

Muskets were the assault rifles of the day. The media is quick to cite polls as evidence that the American people want gun control. That's because they receive a steady diet of anti-gun news every day, never any mention of all the lives guns save and protect. I challenge the media to report both sides of this issue, honestly, factually and without emotion.
