MODESTO -- The storm system that moved into the area Wednesday dropped just enough rain to mess up cars and slicken streets, but not enough to register on any measure.
Neither the Modesto or Turlock irrigation districts recorded any rainfall at their stations in downtown Modesto, Turlock and at Don Pedro Reservoir. Today looks like more of the same, with spotty but unimpressive showers expected throughout the Northern San Joaquin Valley.
Forecasters call the system a bit of a nuisance.
