Luis Scola scored 21 points to go with seven rebounds and four assists to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 106-96 win over the Sacramento Kings at Sleep Train Arena.
Michael Beasley added 19 points and Goran Dragic added 12 points and 11 assists for the Suns, who won on the road for just the fourth time this season.
Phoenix also picked up its first victory under interim head coach Lindsey Hunter, who replaced Alvin Gentry who was fired on Jan. 18.
"The most important thing was that we won the game, obviously we are not in the best situation right now." said Suns center Marcin Gortat. "There are many things going on with our team and organization so we just need to try and win as many games as possible."
Tyreke Evans scored 16 points and DeMarcus Cousins added a double-double with 15 points and 15 boards for the Kings, losers in three of their last four.
"It was a very disappointing loss for our team," said Kings head coach Keith Smart. "It was a concentration game, and it was unfortunate for our team to lose this game."
An Aaron Brooks 3-pointer early in the fourth quarter gave Sacramento an 82-76 lead, but Phoenix used an 11-2 run to go up 87-84 with 7:47 remaining.
The Suns didn't look back, outscoring the Kings, 19-12, the rest of the way to seal the win.
Phoenix led 30-27 after the first frame, but was outscored by Sacramento, 30-19, in the second to go into the break trailing 57-49.
The Suns went 11-for-23 from the field in the third and held the Kings to just 40 percent (8-for-20) shooting from the floor, to pull within 77-74 entering the fourth quarter.
