A judge Tuesday postponed a hearing until Feb. 1 to schedule a trial for former Riverbank City Councilman Jesse James White, who is accused of drunken driving, crashing his Corvette and leaving his injured son in the car in Oakdale last winter.
White's term on the council ended last month and he did not seek a second.
He remains free on bail. White faces three felony charges: driving under the influence causing injury, DUI with a blood-alcohol content of 0.24 percent causing injury and child endangerment. His blood-alcohol content was three times the legal limit, authorities said. White has been charged with three misdemeanor counts: hit-and-run causing injury, hit-and-run causing property damage and resisting an officer.
In a preliminary hearing in August, witnesses testified that they saw White's Corvette crash on F Street in Oakdale on Feb. 20.
His 4-year-old son suffered a bloody nose. White left his son in the car when he tried to leave, police have said.
