The Modesto Bee's criticism is absurd

The Bee and columnist Jeff Jardine slithered into the anti-gun fray with absurd suggestions that Sheriff Adam Christianson has attempted to politicize the Sandy Hook tragedy with his letter to Joe Biden, thereby "exploiting the victims" of that incident (Jan. 18).

The Bee's criticism continued with its Opinion on Jan. 19, suggesting that Christianson "is prone to passionate outbursts" and admonishing him for being selective regarding laws that he chooses to uphold for his own personal-political ideology.

Talk about agendas, what about the president's agenda of using children for a photo op against the NRA and for his anti-gun fanaticism? And let's not leave out The Bee's own modus operandi of criticizing every police action that involves officer shootings, with the full accounting of every person who was either wounded-killed during such incidents. What's the agenda here?

Christianson's well-written letter clearly demonstrates that he intends to protect the individual rights and freedoms of every law-abiding citizen of this county and that he will not cower to the left-wing intents of our demagogue-in-chief currently occupying the White House.

Kudos to Christianson.
