-- Sonora police Tuesday announced the arrest of four people on felony drug charges after officers broke up what they are calling a drug house.

According to a news release, officers served a search warrant at 9:20 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Columbia Way. They found narcotics and paraphernalia in the residence.

The residents reportedly told police they let several people use the home as a drug house. Surveillance then revealed several drug offenders frequently visiting.

Police arrested Thomas Solis, 51, Shannon Ramey, 44, and Matthew Cliburn, 31, all of Sonora, and Joaquin Duarte, 31, of Modesto. All four were booked on felony drug charges and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Cliburn also was arrested for being in possession of a dangerous weapon. Duarte was arrested on a charge of possession of stolen property. Solis and Ramey were booked on charges of maintaining a drug house.
