Stanislaus County government offices closed for MLK Day

Government offices are closed today in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

• The Modesto City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the basement of Tenth Street Place.

• The Modesto Irrigation District board, meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, will hear a staff report on the State Water Resources Control Board's demand for higher water releases in the Tuolumne River.

• The Stanislaus County Employees' Retirement Association board, meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday, will consider the actuarial report for 2009-12 and its investment plans. 832 12th Street, Suite 600, Modesto
