Music festival coming to Modesto Junior College

MODESTO -- Community members are invited to attend the Stanislaus County Music Festival on Friday and Saturday at the Modesto Junior College Auditorium, 435 College Ave.

Friday's performance will start at 7 p.m. with junior high and high school Honor Choir led by guest conductors Julie Dana and Jeff Seward. Saturday, the junior high and high school Honor Orchestra will perform at 2 p.m. with guest conductors David Poteet and Thomas Lowenheim. At 7 p.m. the junior high and high school Honor Band will play, led by Timothy Anderson and Gary Gilroy.

There is no charge for admission. The Stanislaus County Office of Education, the Stanislaus County Music Educators Association and Gottschalk Music Centers co-sponsor the event.
