MENDED HEARTS SUPPORT GROUP

When: Tuesday, 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Sutter Gould Medical Foundation Training and Education Center, 1700 McHenry Ave.

Info: Mended Hearts is a national nonprofit volunteer organization offering support and the gift of hope to heart patients, caregivers and their families. The groups help people understand that there can be a rich life after a heart procedure. Members listen, share their experiences and discuss matters relating to lifestyle changes, depression, recovery and treatment. Guest speakers from the medical profession and related industries will talk about heart conditions, preparing for surgery and dealing with recovery. For more, call Robert at (209) 523-2341.

Info: Community Hospice offers Caregiver College, a series of free educational presentations for family caregivers who are caring for an aging loved one. This month's topic is "Estate Planning 101: Protections and Pitfalls." The two one-hour presentations will be held:

Info: Friends of the Turlock Public Library is holding its annual book sale. More than 10,000 books, (generously donated by residents of Stanislaus County) including hardbacks and paperbacks in every category imaginable, sorted and categorized for your easy pickings. Books run 50 cents to $1 to a bit more for sets. All profits will go to the Turlock Public Library.
