Duivenvoorden (22-3), ranked third in the Sac-Joaquin Section at 195, parlayed a third-round reversal into a 2-0 win over thirrd-ranked senior Luke Brewer of Bret Harte in the finals of the Lloyd C. Engel tournament in Escalon.
It was a tough match given the fact the 6-foot, 2-inch Duivenvoorden, a State Meet qualifier last year (2-2 at 182), faced a taller wrestler for one of the few times this season.
The Jaguar star reached the title match by pinning fifth-ranked Jojo Ochoa of Atwater.
