MODESTO -- Modesto police on Wednesday released the name of a man stabbed to death last weekend.
Police say Trinidad Cordero, 55, was stabbed multiple times by his longtime girlfriend's brother Saturday at the Redwood Apartment complex on Yosemite Boulevard in southeast Modesto. He died after being taken to a hospital.
Detectives identified the brother as 50-year-old Francisco Hernandez Gonzales.
No one, including Cordero's girlfriend, is cooperating with police, according to Sgt. Ivan Valencia.
Two of Gonzales' family members who detectives say drove him away from the scene of the crime were arrested on suspicion of accessory to murder. Richard Gonzales, 26, and Jaime Bacca, 33, were arrested Saturday but have since bailed out of jail.
Valencia said detectives don't know what motivated the stabbing because the family refuses to talk.
Police are looking for Francisco Gonzales. He is described as 5-foot-4, 140 pounds, with grayish hair and brown eyes. He has a prosthetic left leg, walks with a pronounced limp and has distinguishable facial skin discoloration.
