Stanislaus Union School District board to meet

MODESTO -- The Stanislaus Union School District board will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 11 of the district office, 2410 Janna Ave.

Trustees will consider a $12,000 contract with outside experts to review special-education placements and services.

The board will weigh buying $100,000 in food preparation equipment and hear updates on the budget and widening of Kiernan Avenue.

A special governing board meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24 to begin the process of replacing retiring Superintendent Wayne Brown.
