RV explosion, fire in Keyes injures two

KEYES -- Keyes firefighters responded to an RV situated on a ranch off Central Avenue in Keyes that caught fire after exploding Saturday night.

A male and female occupant both suffered severe burn injuries to their hands and face; one victim was reported to have been transported to the UC Davis burn center to treat the wounds.

After the explosion, both victims were able to call 911 from a nearby house while the resulting fire spread to an adjacent car and big rig.

The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
