Focus on Education: Patterson to meet

The Patterson Joint Unified School District board will meet at 7 p.m. today at the district office, 510 Keystone Blvd. Trustees will honor spelling bee winners and school employees before getting a budget update and a report on Medi-Cal administrative activities. COUNTY BOARD WILL MEET:

The Stanislaus County Board of Education will meet at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Stanislaus County Office of Education, 1100 H St., Modesto. There will be a public hearing on plans to buy the former Starn building in downtown Modesto. There also will be reports on the Head Start program and character education.
