Congratulations to The Bee for publishing the graphic showing the homicide rates for many of the countries in the world.

California is clearly a world leader, followed very closely by the rest of the United States. No other country comes even close to our rate. This should be cause for alarm and drastic action. Since we are a nation that has been raised on TV shootings and killings as entertainment, nothing will probably happen except more talk.

What should be done?

1. Drastically limit firearm sales nationwide.

2. Start a very generous buy-back program.

3. Censor movies and TV for shooting and killing.

Of course, these suggestions will be opposed from all directions. So we might as well sit back and pray the next mass murder won't here, as it is sure to happen.
