• AARP SAFE DRIVER COURSE

When: Thursday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: Doctors Medical Center conference center, 1440 Florida Ave.

Info: Doctors Medical Center and AARP will present the two-day Safe Driver Program, designed to point out physical changes drivers may go through as they age. Participants will watch a video, receive a workbook, have group discussion and learn about driving laws. The cost is $12 for AARP members, $14 for nonmembers. To register, call (888) 284-6641.

Info: "Transitioning from the Public School System to Adulthood" will be presented by the Modesto City Schools Special Education Community Advisory Committee, with speakers from Valley Mountain Regional Center, Cole Vocational Systems, Modesto Junior College and United Cerebral Palsy.
