RIVERBANK -- Stanislaus County sheriff's deputies arrested one suspect and were searching for two others after a theft turned strong-armed robbery at the Kohl's department store in Riverbank on Thursday night.
About 7 p.m., two men and a woman were leaving the store with $400 worth of merchandise when they were confronted by an employee, whom they in turn assaulted, said Sgt. Anthony Bejaran.
The robbers got into a white, early-2000s Hyundai and were seen driving east on Claribel Road.
