'The Highwaymen'
In 1985, one of the biggest country music supergroups of all time was formed. The Highwaymen combined Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. The band is no more, but you can still hear its music live in "The Highwaymen A Musical Tribute" at the Gallo Center for the Arts.

Fog Valley Drifters
Composed of musicians from Modesto and the Monterey area, the Fog Valley Drifters have entertained crowds for a decade with their bluegrass music. Instruments represented in the group include fiddle, guitar, banjo and mandolin. After the concert, audience members are invited to join in a jam session and then feast on a dinner of kosher hot dogs and the trimmings. This show is part of the Sunday Afternoons at CBS concert series.

Tom Rigney and Flambeau
Bay Area band Tom Rigney and Flambeau performs an electrifying mix of blues and roots music designed to get a crowd dancing. Rigney is a highly skilled violinist and composer. The band was voted best Cajun/zydeco band of 2004 by the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame.

'Miss Nelsonis Missing'
California Theatre Center presents "Miss Nelson is Missing," based on the children's book of the same name. Geared for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, the show centers on the kind and clever Miss Nelson, who masquerades as nasty substitute Viola Swamp to teach her students what a great teacher she really is.

Eth-Noh-Tec
Eth-Noh-Tec Asian American Story Theatre will present the show "Sharing the Light: Tales of Wisdom, Stories of Peace." Founded in 1982 by Nancy Wang and Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo, Eth-Noh-Tec offers contemporary presentations of traditional folk tales from the nations of China, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Tibet and India. The shows incorporate storytelling, theater, dance and music.

'Dreamgirls'
Follow a fictional girl group from the 1960s as the vocalists progress from backup singers to superstars in Big League Productions' touring musical "Dreamgirls." The show features about 25 cast members plus an orchestra. The show premièred on Broadway in 1981 and was made into a film in 2006 starring Beyoncé, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Hudson, who won an Oscar for best supporting actress.
