Road race helps Modesto's hungry

MODESTO -- The Salvation Army and Inter-Faith Ministries of Greater Modesto are holding a 5K and 10K run-walk this month to raise money for their food pantries.

The Resolution Run — Stop Hunger in Its Tracks is Jan. 26. The event starts at the Johansen High School stadium and continues on the Dry Creek trail. The race finishes at the high school.

Registration is at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8:30 a.m. Preregistration is $25 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K. Race-day registration is $35 for either race.
