Masked man with shotgun robs Walgreens in Modesto

MODESTO -- A masked man armed with a shotgun held up the Walgreens store on Coffee Road on Friday night, Modesto police reported.

Lt. Scott Blom said a white man wearing dark clothing, a hoodie and a scarf over his face entered the store in the shopping center at Sylvan Avenue and Coffee Road about 9:30 p.m. and took money from two registers.

The gunman fled on foot with the shotgun. Blom said there were no reports of injuries.
