MODESTO -- A vehicle traveling at high speed Friday lost some of its parts after it was struck by another car, leaving the vehicle's engine in a Modesto park and the radiator and a tire nearby.
Just before 3 p.m., a Saturn was heading west on Brighton Avenue near Downey Park when the driver lost control east of Kruger Drive and the car was broadsided by a Lincoln traveling east, according to Modesto police.
Despite major damage to the Saturn, only one person suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
