After reading all the letters the last few weeks and listening to all the views, I am partially confused.

Should we hire guards? From where will the money come? Should we arm the teachers? How can they possibly teach a class when their guns are not strapped to their waists? If the guns are strapped to their waists, what happens when they accidentally bump into a chair and the gun goes off?

Ban assault weapons? That's a good idea except there are over 100 million guns in the country now. How do you get rid of them? Unfortunately the people who will commit these horrendous acts usually don't buy the guns themselves but borrow them or steal them from homes and relatives. Our president says that this will happen again because there is no 100 percent way to prevent it from happening.

It is very tragic to have one of your children die before his or her time and before one of their parents.

I do not know what the answer is except tell your loved ones that you love them every day. Put love notes in their lunches, text them daily that you love them and help them to grow up into responsible citizens.
