Having trouble finding Nabisco chocolate wafer cookies? Don't look for them in the cookie aisle. They're in the baking aisle or near the ice cream toppings and cones. The cookies are sold in 9-ounce sleevelike packaging. They are easy to miss, as they don't get a ton of shelf space.
One common use for these cookies is making the ice box cake recipe found on the package. It's simply chocolate wafer cookies spread with whipped cream, sandwiched together and covered with more whipped cream. The whole thing is chilled for hours or until the cookies become soft and you can slice through the cake. The cookies, when crushed, also make a good crust for cheesecakes or ice cream cakes.
