The Bee's 2012 A Book of Dreams effort has wrapped up with a near-record level of generous giving by residents, businesses and organizations.
Donations totaled $61,769.54, just shy of the all-time high of $62,212 set in 2002.
We cannot thank the community enough for its contributions, from the smallest to the largest. A complete list of donors below.
Some donors designated which agencies they want to receive their money and those designations will be honored.
The money that was not designated will be divided equally among the 14 agencies that participated in this year's A Book of Dreams and put to good use helping our many friends and neighbors who are struggling in these tough economic times.
The Stanislaus Community Foundation handles the accounting and distribution of funds; The Bee covers the administrative cost.
