I am a retired dairy farmer who has had the good fortune to have lived in the country all my life. My wife and I sometimes go into town for lunch and to shop. I notice that the majority of young women with children don't wear wedding rings. I asked a young woman if wedding rings weren't the custom anymore. She told me that a woman living with a man, the father of her children, by not getting married, can have the government pay the hospital bills for the birth of the child. She then will also get welfare, food stamps, WIC and medical care, no matter how much the father makes.

If a couple divorces, the father must pay child support and rightly so. If he fails to do so, he faces severe penalties. In this age of DNA testing, no man should be able to not support his children.

This program, because of massive fraud, is costing the taxpayer billions. And to think that this is the type of program that President Barack Obama wants to raise taxes for.
