SCHOLARSHIP FORMS AVAILABLE ONLINE:
More than $34,000 in scholarship grants are open to California high school and college students from the Friends of the California State Fair, which is accepting applications through March 8. A total of 27 scholarships will be awarded in a number of categories, including agriculture, animal science, arts, business, education, enology and viticulture, culinary and event planning, fair industry and international studies. Two awards are available to top students in nine counties in the Sacramento region, including Stanislaus and San Joaquin. All applicants also are eligible for the $5,000 outstanding candidate scholarship given by the Ironstone Concours d' Elegance.
