Modesto man accused of raping underage relative

MODESTO -- A Modesto man was in jail Thursday on suspicion of raping an underage family member.

Modesto police responded to a southeast Modesto home for a family fight Wednesday evening, according to Lt. Rick Armendariz.

While officers interviewed family members at the home, they learned of two alleged incidents in which a 24-year-old man raped a juvenile family member.

Michael Anaya was arrested on suspicion of two counts of forcible rape and booked at the Stanislaus County Jail.

To protect the victim's identity, Armendariz did not provide the location of Anaya's home, the age of his alleged victim or Anaya's relationship to her.
