Jeff Winans, the Turlock- raised member of the 1980 NFL champion Oakland Raiders, died Friday at his home in Turlock, said his former wife Brandi. Winans, 61, played for Turlock High and MJC then starred at USC as a defensive lineman for the unbeaten 1972 Trojans. He spent eight seasons in the NFL. Winans played for the Raiders for the first four games in 1980 before an injury ended his season. He moved back to Turlock in 2006.
