Do you make New Year's resolutions? If so, what's one of yours for 2013?
Dominique Germann, Senior, Central Valley High School
I feel like it is too early to think about resolutions, but it's not! For 2013, I probably should study my environmental science notes better.
Shelby Sutter, Sophomore, Enochs High School
I generally do not make any New Year's resolutions; however, this new year I am going to turn off my phone when I am doing homework. I find that my homework takes a lot longer with my phone on. No phone means no distractions!
Martin Cepeda, Freshman, Pitman High School
I sometimes make New Year's resolutions, but I don't really follow through with them. If I had to make one for the coming year, my resolution would definitely be to be more time-managed. I really need to stop procrastinating so much!
Emily Hoeksema, Senior, Ripon Christian High School
I don't really make New Year's resolutions. If I was going to make a list, No. 1 would probably be to strive in the area of prayer to God since, as Christians, we're called to pray without ceasing.
Taylor Menezes, Junior, Central Catholic High School
I can never stick with resolutions. However, I found this really cute idea on Pinterest in which you get a jar, and every time something good happens, you write it on a piece of paper and put it in the jar. Then at the end of the year, you take all the papers out and remember all of the good things that happened during the year. It's a little cheesy, but I think it helps us focus on the positive things that happen instead of dwelling on the negatives.
