-- The Ripon Police Department has a new narcotics detection dog, Kilo, an 18-month-old yellow Labrador retriever. Kilo was bought entirely with donated money from the public. The dog will work with narcotics detection on the streets and in local schools. She also will be available to assist other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies upon request. Kilo and her handler, field training officer Mike Perry, were introduced Friday at the Police Department. The department's first narcotics detection dog, "Topper," retired in October after seven years on the job.
