How quickly we forget what happened on that tragic day, how the world changed for everyone and how many veterans died that day. Such a small article in The Bee on Dec. 7; hard to understand what is important now, when a football player's jersey makes the front page and the bombing of Pearl Harbor didn't. I realize that it was 71 years ago, but how do we as a country turn the spotlight on athletes, movie stars and singers and forget our veterans who have died to defend this country. Has common sense been lost in this country, to be replaced by no respect? They were the generation that saved the world, and now we brush them aside like trash. We as a country have lost our way, pray to God to help us as a country to find our way back to sanity.
