The Tuolumne County Library encourages readers to stock up on library books and materials because it will be closed for county furloughs and the Christmas holiday Tuesday through Jan. 7. All Tuolumne County libraries will resume regular schedules Jan. 8.
The Friends of the Library Book Nook at the Sonora Central Library also will be closed during the furlough days. Friends of the Groveland Library will open its bookstore on Dec. 29 and Jan. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Groveland Library meeting room. Electronic books are still available to check out through the library website, as well as all online services, at www.tuolcolib.org. Materials can be renewed online or by phone at (209) 533-1648 during the closure, or just keep materials until the library reopens.
