Vandalism of two AT&T junction boxes cut off outside communication by Oak Valley Hospital, Oak Valley Care Center, Oak Valley Community Health Center and surrounding physician offices Thursday. Disrupted services include phone, fax and Internet.
"This has only affected our communication with the outside world internally, there's no disruption in service," Joann Saporito, vice president of nursing, said Thursday afternoon. Cell phones were the only way Oak Valley employees could talk with those outside their facilities, she said. T
he public was directed to call (209) 602-2578. As of 8 p.m. Thursday, AT&T still was working to restore service.
