Modesto city offices closed next week

MODESTO -- Modesto city offices will be closed Monday through Jan. 1 in observance of the holidays and work furloughs. City operations at Tenth Street Place will resume Jan. 2. Uniformed police operations and emergency dispatch will operate as usual and Modesto Regional Fire Authority fire stations will be open. Residents requiring administrative assistance from Regional Fire may call (209) 552-3600 and leave a message. The Modesto Police Department lobby at 600 10th St. will be open Wednesday through Dec. 28 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; residents requiring after-hours assistance can use the phone near the lobby doors. Response for utility-related emergencies will be available by calling these numbers:

• Street flooding, sewer, storm water, storm drain, illegal dumping: (209) 577-6200

Passenger service at the Modesto Airport, as well as MAX and Dial-A-Ride bus lines, will operate normally. Residents will be able to use city parking garages and lots. The McHenry Museum and McHenry Mansion will be closed. Utility payments may be made by calling (209) 577-5395, option 4, or at www.modestogov.com 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
