Recreation leagues/camp signups

ATWATER -- The Buhach Colony boys basketball program is taking sign-ups for its Junior Hoopster 2013 league and camp.

Basketball skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting will be taught each week by coaches and players. The camps will take place on Saturdays at Buhach Colony between Jan. 5 and Feb. 2. Youth wrestling enrollment

The Central Valley Wrestling Club of Merced is holding open enrollment for all area boys and girls ages 6 and older.

Practices are held three days a week. No experience is required and the cost is $40 per month with all equipment provided.

Rebels looking for softball players

The Merced Lady Rebels are looking for players to fill their 12- and 14-year-old rosters for competitive softball tournaments.

The team is seeking competitive and committed players (parents must be committed, too).

Adult basketball sign-ups

Registrations are now being accepted for the 2013 city of Merced adult basketball league and the 35-and-over league. Registrations will be accepted until Friday. The season runs from January through May.

The team entry fee is $500. Ten games are guaranteed, plus playoffs.

Register at the city of Merced Office of Recreation, 678 W. 18th Street. The office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
