NEWMAN -- Newman Police are investigating a robbery at a medical laboratory this morning. According to a press release, officers were dispatched to Quest Diagnostics on Main Street at 7:30 a.m.
A clerk at Quest said a man came in and demanded money. The clerk gave the man a money bag; he ran out the back of the business before driving away. Police said no weapon was seen and they have not determined how much money was taken.
Police described the suspect as Latino, in his 20s, roughly 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 150 pounds with short dark hair and a goatee. He wore a red shirt and blue jeans, and may have driven away in a late-model white minivan.
