Two shot at large party in Oakdale

OAKDALE -- Two people suffered multiple gunshot wounds at a large party on Post Road about 1:50 a.m. Sunday, and a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, the Oakdale Police Department reported.

Information was not available Sunday night on the condition of the victims: a 27-year-old Modesto man taken to Memorial Medical Center and a 29-year-old Manteca man taken to Doctors Medical Center.

Officer Rocky Anderson spotted a vehicle believed to have been driven by the gunman, and the teen inside was arrested on Hi Tech Parkway with help from the California Highway Patrol, the report said.

The teen, described as a validated gang member, was booked at Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall, police said.
