Shoppers enjoy sunny day, Santa in Modesto; rain expected to return

MODESTO -- With nine shopping days left before Christmas, shoppers made the most of Sunday's dry weather to look for presents at McHenry Village in Modesto.

They found Santa Claus and a horse-drawn carriage among the attractions.

Rain was expected to return today, adding to an already strong start to the rainy season and the snowpack in the Sierra Nevada.
