For those unfamiliar with NPR humorist and best-selling author David Sedaris, who is coming to Turlock Community Theater in May, today affords an opportunity to get acquainted with his work.
Prospect Theater Project presents its popular comic holiday production of Sedaris' "Santaland Diaries/ Season's Greetings."
"Santaland" is an account of working as an elf at Macy's during the Christmas season, while "Greetings" recounts a holiday letter from a family that hasn't had a great year.
Showtime is 2 p.m. at Prospect, 520 Scenic Drive. Tickets are $20. For more, call (209) 549-9341 or go to www.prospecttheaterproject.org.
Sedaris is the author of "Barrel Fever" and "Holidays on Ice," as well as collections of personal essays, "Naked," "Me Talk Pretty One Day," "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim" and "When You Are Engulfed in Flames," each of which became a best-seller. He also has been nominated for three Grammy Awards for best spoken-word and best comedy album.
