MODESTO -- Danger, destruction and a little crime are planned for Davis High in Modesto this morning and Thursday. Passers-by of the campus at Tully and Rumble roads may see emergency vehicles and an assortment of wounded or arrested students as Public Safety Academy and ROP classes participate in practical final exams.
The exercise will include search and rescue of "injured" students, triage and first aid, crowd control and a crime scene investigation.
A retired squad car, donated by the city of Modesto, will be part of the drill, set for 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. both days.
