Toys for Tots benefit Friday in Modesto

MODESTO -- The Latino Community Roundtable will hold a Christmas party and fund-raiser to benefit the Marine Corps' Toys For Tots on Friday from 6 to 11:30 p.m.

There will be appetizers, a no-host bar and a dance to the music of DJ Invisible. There also will be a contest for the ugliest Christmas sweater and a chance to win a new living-room furniture set.

The event will be at the SBG Spices warehouse distribution center, 625 Janopaul Lane, Modesto. Admission is $1 and a new, unwrapped toy for a boy or girl. Representatives of the Marine Corps will be on hand to accept the donations.
