MODESTO -- A 39-year-old Modesto woman on Monday was sentenced to three years and 10 months in federal prison for making counterfeit music DVDs and CDs, according to the U.S. attorney's office.
Vicenta Munoz-Peralta was convicted of conspiracy to commit criminal copyright infringement and traffic in counterfeit labels and counterfeit documentation and packaging.
Federal prosecutors said Munoz-Peralta and others manufactured the DVDs in a co-defendant's Modesto garage from April 2011 through July 25, 2011.
