-- Another storm is moving into the Northern San Joaquin Valley, and it looks likely rain will start to fall by midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, fog today and Tuesday will give way to clouds and some winds by Tuesday night, with rainfall likely after midnight and through Wednesday.

A chance of showers is predicted through Thursday.

This is a colder storm than the systems that visited the area recently, so snow levels are expected to drop to about 5,500 feet, the weather service said.

In the valley, highs will be in the 50s.

Sun is expected to return by Friday, before giving way to more clouds and potential rain Saturday and Sunday.
