MANTECA -- Four masked men carried out a home invasion robbery shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Shepard Way, the Manteca Police Department said.
A man and his wife were sleeping when they heard a loud bang downstairs, authorities said. The man said one of the robbers, wearing a white mask, then entered their bedroom and made demands while holding them at gunpoint. The robbers stole electronic items, jewelry and money.
One of the robbers was described as a man 5 feet 7 or 5 feet 8, weighing 160 to 170 pounds, with black clothing, a white mask and a silver handgun. Another robber was described as a man 5 feet 9 or 5 feet 10, weighing 170 to 180 pounds, with black clothing, a white mask and a black handgun.
