Details emerge in case of missing Turlock boys

TURLOCK -- Two boys from Turlock who went missing Thursday morning were found that evening at a fast food restaurant in Livingston, authorities said.

Brothers Owen Michael Robertson, 11, and James Michael Bowen, 13, left their northeast home Thursday at roughly 8 a.m., according to Turlock police. The boys ran away, but were considered at-risk because they had no history of such behavior and because of Owen’s young age.

An employee of a Taco Bell in Livingston called authorities Thursday night after spotting the boys there. Officers picked up the boys, who were unharmed, and returned them to their family.

Authorities have not released any details of where the boys spent their day or how they got to Livingston. On Thursday, police said there was no indication of suspicious circumstances.
