The Manteca High boys refused to go away in its first-round game with host Buhach Colony at the Save Mart Classic on Thursday.
Behind 14 points from Roger Klauser and Stephen Hillyer and Kaden Verdin's double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds), the Thunder took a seven-point lead into halftime.
They held on from there for a 69-63 victory. BC will play Gregori in the semifinals tonight.
Gregori 63, Livingston 54
ATWATER -- A poor second quarter had Livingston playing catch up for most of the evening.
Behind Brian Perez's game-high 20 points and Quian Newsom's 10 off of the bench, the Wolves trimmed the lead to four with just under two minutes to go.
They weren't able to get any closer in a SaveMart Classic first-round loss to Gregori.
El Camino 68, Golden Valley 58
GRASS VALLEY -- Evan Stillahn (team-high 21 points) helped Golden Valley storm back from a 25-point deficit.
The Cougars pulled within two with three minutes to go, but ran out of steam in a first-round loss at the Nevada Union Tournament. Christian Carroll chipped in 12 points in the loss.

Merced 50, Franklin (Stockton) 19
STOCKTON -- Tandra Henley and Olechea Bowers each scored a game-high 13 points to help Merced outscore Franklin 32-8 in the second half of a first-round victory at the Tony Contreras Delta Queen Classic. Tekerra Borden had 10 points for the Bears.
Wooster 59, Buhach Colony 45
RENO, Nev. -- Jessica Silva poured in seven 3-pointers and 25 points, but didn't get enough help as the Thunder fell in the first round of the Spanish Springs Tournament.
