A federal judge on Thursday sentenced a 66-year-old Manteca man to five years in prison for receiving child pornography, according to the U.S. attorney's office. As part of Terry Alan Snider's sentence, he will have to serve three years of supervised release and is required to register as a sex offender.
In August and September 2011, investigators in a Sacramento task force observed Snider's computer offering images of child pornography through an Internet file-sharing service. On Aug. 26, 2011, law enforcement downloaded child pornography from the defendant. Federal prosecutors said investigators searched Snider's home and found about 350 videos and 190 photos of child pornography downloaded to his computer.
