MODESTO -- Lucky Jack's Liquors has struck again. The Oakdale Road store, which is listed as a "lucky spot" on the California Lottery's Web site, sold a $1 million scratcher in November.
Jerry Scott, 70, a retired phone company worker from Modesto, won big only six weeks into playing the lottery. He joins Paula Schindler of Oakdale as a recent lottery millionaire. Schindler bought her lucky ticket in October at the Raley's store on F Street in Oakdale.
